Benzino aimed directly at Eminem and his rising executives, who claimed in a recent interview that power players in the music industry deliberately buried racist lyrics from the rapper’s past to protect his image and career.
“Why is he so afraid of interviewing with the black media for more than 20 years of his career?” Benzino asked in a recent interview. “He will reveal himself.”
The former Source magazine executive noted that Eminem’s early recordings, some of which resurfaced a few years ago and were widely condemned for racial slander, is evidence of what he calls double standards.

According to Benzino, the industry is eager to defend Eminem, while black artists face much less severe scrutiny.
Benzino claims that Eminem was 21 when he recorded the controversial lyrics, but said the tag “outlined that he was 16 and he had a black girlfriend.”
He accused Universal Music and Music tycoon Jimmy Iovine of “insulting” the wisdom of hip-hop fans and black communities around the world.
He claimed that executives met behind closed doors to manage the consequences, creating a narrative that portrays Eminem as a heartbroken teenager who made a mistake.
Benzino said: “They went into a room and said, ‘We have to solve this problem.
Benzino also argues that Eminem’s success is used as a wedge between black and white hip-hop audiences and criticizes the silence of others in the industry.
He said, “No one said anything.”

Benzino tried to squeeze the meinem beef
This sentence marks another chapter of Benzino’s decades-long beef and Eminem, which has repeatedly erupted over the years. Critics point out that when Eminem returns to the public, Benzino often revisits these claims.
But the timing of Benzino’s latest comments has attracted attention, especially since they have contradicted his more reconciliational tone since a few months ago. In his 2024 appearance at the Drink Championship, Benzino said: “Em is not a bad guy. He belongs to hip-hop. It’s a big racist problem in the United States right now, and Em may stop half of it.”
He added: “I don’t have anyone who opposes Eminem.
Earlier this year, after news broke, Eminem became grandfather and Benzino extended an olive tree.
“I think it’s a good time, man, leave it behind and let’s try to enjoy life and try to make some type of statement,” he said. “I really want to congratulate him, his daughter and him for being a grandfather.”
Despite the earlier gestures, Benzino’s latest statement shows that the hatred with Eminem is far from over.
