Former band entrant Sara Rivers filed a $60 million lawsuit against Diddy for sexual assault, assault and harassment.
Didi faces new lawsuits from former DA band members
The 148-page lawsuit filed on February 28 lists more than 20 defendants, including UMG, Viacom, Diddy’s mother Janice Combs, MTV, etc. It accuses the music tycoon of making rivers during the show, formerly Sara Stokes working under “inhumane” conditions. The complaint also mentioned a specific incident where Diddy allegedly supported the river on the wall and began kissing her without her consent while asking her “whether it’s OK, if anything is needed.”
Rivers also mentioned that Didi kept criticizing her appearance and that the group members were threatened with violence from the founder of Bad Boys Entertainment. She also claimed she was forced to sign a publishing contract, paying her a flat fee of $25,000. Rivers of Sara Stokes were part of three seasons of the MTV reality show.
Diddy’s legal team responded to recent allegations in a statement to People magazine.
“This is another example of a false claim against Mr. Combs,” the statement said. “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, the fact that Mr. Combs has never had sexual assault or trafficking in anyone – men or women, adults or minors. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. The deadline for gender-motivated violence in New York tomorrow, tomorrow’s courts show ultimate responsibility, which is undoubtedly unknown.
Rivers is seeking $60 million in punitive and compensatory damages. She asked for a jury trial.
She joins a long list of people who sued Diddy for sexual assault and rape in civil court. Puff is also working on a criminal case where he is accused of sexual trafficking, extortion and transportation for prostitution. His criminal trial is scheduled to begin on May 7, 2025.
