Bad Bunny will electrify the Super Bowl LX halftime stage in Santa Clara, but his headline show has sparked a controversial reaction from the Trump administration, which plans to deploy Bingbing agents to crack down on undocumented immigrants.
Corey Lewandowski, a senior adviser to the Department of Homeland Security and longtime Trump ally, confirmed the move in a recent appearance at the Benny Exhibition, citing the government’s active immigration policy as the reason for the action.
“You have nowhere to provide a safe haven for people who are illegal. Not the Super Bowl, there is no other place,” Lewandowski said.
Lewandowski made it clear that immigration and customs law enforcement officers will be held at the stadium in Levi on February 8, 2026 and ordered individuals without legal status to be found and detained.
“We will find you, we will arrest you, we will put you in a detention center, we will expel you,” he said. “This is a very real situation under this administration, and it is the exact opposite of what was before.”
Confirmation: ICE will be active in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show.
Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski warned: There is no place for ice to evacuate criminal foreigners from the United States, even the Super Bowl:
“There is nowhere to provide a safe haven for those who are in it.

These comments follow Bad Bunny’s past criticism of ICE. Puerto Rican rappers and global music stars have long expressed concern about immigration enforcement at public events and concerts.
In a recent interview with ID magazine, he explained why he excluded the United States from his latest world journey.
“There is a problem, for example, King Ice may be outside. This is something we are talking about, a very focused issue,” he said. “People from the United States can come here to watch the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans in the United States can also travel here or anywhere in the world.”

The artist also used social media to convene an ICE event in Puerto Rico.
In a June Instagram video, he shot the agency with an unmarked SUV and said in Spanish: “Look, those M ################################################################################################
Bad Bunny is advocating for Puerto Rican identity and advocating for marginalized groups. His outspoken stance has made him a target for critics of immigration reform.
The Super Bowl LX is held at Levitra Stadium in California and is expected to attract tens of millions of viewers around the world.
But the Trump administration’s plan to use the incident for immigration enforcement marks a major escalation.
ICE has previously raided in workplaces and community events, but the sporting wonder targeting national television will be the first.
The Department of Homeland Security has not released more details on how to do it or how many agents will be there.
