Azealia Banks went on a tirade Saturday morning in multiple posts on X (formerly Twitter) about Lato and the backlash she has received over her career. After discussing her hatred of Lorde, Charli XCX and more pop artists, Banks opened up to fans about her feelings about Latto.
“She really missed out on so many icons by not being ‘mixed race,'” she said in response to one user. “Second, for all the social backlash and people stupid enough not to realize her name is still biracial but the abbreviation should prove they are stupid internet rage addicts.” In a second post, she added : “These people are not as socially perceptive as they think they are, they create these ruckus just to be hoodwinked. Also, her calling herself mulatto, just like black artists calling themselves mulatto, is defamatory and Toxic. “Their peers spend all day ???????????????”

From there, she concluded: “No one has any reason to come to her. Attacking her so harshly is stupid, hypocritical, stressful and delusional. If her whiteness is the problem, why are they okay with using it?” The N-word in her songs? Since then, fans have asked Banks what she thinks about Ariana Grande, Bing Spice and many other artists.
