Antonio Brown allegedly faced murder after firing a gun outside a celebrity boxing match in a small community in Miami’s Little Haiti, allegedly frightened a man for his life.
The incident was reportedly captured on surveillance and cell phone footage, showing Brown assaulting a man, grabbing a security guard’s gun and firing two rounds while chasing someone.
Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu was grazed by bullets and later identified Brown as the shooter after reviewing the video evidence.
Nantambu said he has known Antonio Brown since 2022, telling police he was concerned about being killed during a dispute in documents obtained by the New York Post.
“He thought he would be killed,” Nantub said, referring to Florida’s “stand” law. “He played the gangster and played the police at the same time, and then he blamed CTE.”
Nantambu has a long and controversial history with former NFL wide receivers. He had previously accused Brown of stealing custom pendants during his 2022 trip to Dubai.
Antonio Brown allegedly lied to police in the United Arab Emirates, resulting in a brief detention in Nantambu, according to court documents. Nantambu won a $968,960 verdict, but the case was abandoned.
“I don’t know if [Brown] There was an idea in his mind, like, “Well, I’m going to say he’s trying to take my chain, I’m going to kill him, I don’t have to give him his judgment,” Nantambu told the Daily Mail.
Brown issued a bond in $10,000. His legal barriers go back several years.
He settled a rape lawsuit in 2021, was arrested for the attack in 2020, and was forged COVID-19 vaccination records in 2021. He filed for bankruptcy in 2024.
