Columbia, Maryland Emcee/Producer Kaan put down his 28th LP. He has shown many outstanding performances in the growing records (like Black Blood), and the dream of ski beatz production was to delay one, and Big Ghost Ltd., which he and Hoppa would be angry to manage after receiving a bad month yesterday.
The title track talks about being a problem with a flute and some kick-off stretch, and “Back to It” keeps the booming atmosphere instrumental so that he can see who is really tough. “IDC (I don’t care)” took some organs into the fold and took 3 and a half minutes, and he didn’t fuck it before “What did you see?” Ask if you will be like him whenever you look in his eyes.
The only guest on the single “Breaking Bad” appears to pay tribute to my favorite show to involve “Smoke and Mirror” and talking about shit isn’t really what it looks like. “Self-Death” has a weird thriving bap atmosphere that addresses the kind of thinking that is controlled by their self-esteem, and “notorious” keeps it in the basement and elevates it to minimalism.
We got a sequel to “The Problem”, where Kaan talks about picking the bones, and “illin'” feels like the whole fall of the 90s, claiming to be the most uncomfortable one. “Comments Section” Jazzily recommends keeping what they have to say in social media comments, while “fuck” suggests everyone else is minding their own business. “No Return” ends the year-long trilogy, and he admits he hasn’t learned much or even possibly burst.
Some people think Kaan’s entire Trifecta with DJ Hoppa is good, and I have to disagree with that, because the management of anger can certainly be with Grandeur’s delusions, and at the right time, the Maryland kitchen knife has the greatest material of his entire career. Hoppa’s Boom Bap production was a huge upgrade yesterday and lyrical, and above all, all the nonsense did well outside the fortress outside itself.
Score: 9/10
