Allan Mueses, father of Amara La Negra’s twin daughters, and recurring characters from “Love and Hip Hop: Miami” are charged with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Michigan, a charge dating back over a decade.
The 40-year-old was extradited from Miami and filed a lawsuit in the Eighth District Court of Kalamazoo on July 28, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
The allegations stemmed from an attack by a classmate in March 2010 when Muesses was enrolled in a Forex student at Sestern Michigan University.
Prosecutors said the 20-year-old woman met Moose at the campus recreation center and later went to his apartment, where the attack was allegedly taken place.
Last week, the victim appeared in court and testified that during the incident, Mueses told her to “think about this every night” while assaulting her.
She reported the incident to campus police and underwent a forensic medical examination, but no charge was filed at the time.
The case was inactive until it reopened through Michigan’s Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (Saki), which re-checked older cases. Muess was arrested in Florida on July 11 under an out-of-state extradition order issued on July 14.
“I remain grateful to our state’s devout Saki Unit and their efforts to provide justice for victims of sexual assault years ago,” Nessel said in a statement. “Their commitment ensures that survivors have the opportunity to see their case fully investigated and that the offenders are responsible.”
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Mueses participated in the WMU between 2009 and 2013.
His relationship with Amara La Negra is widely revealed in season 4 to Season 4 of Love and Hip Hop: Miami, with the couple’s ups and downs playing on screen.
The two welcomed their twin daughters on March 23, 2022, and they continued to share their parents despite no longer being romantically involved.
