SahBabii is one of the rising stars of 2024. The rapper has been around for a decade but has dazzled audiences and critics with his new album, Saaheem. It even cracked the Billboard 200. The rapper surprised his grandmother by bringing her flowers, an interaction that was caught on camera.
SahBabii can be seen walking into the living room where his grandmother is sitting. She was stunned upon seeing the rapper, who gave her a big hug. Other members of their family gathered to capture the touching moment. According to reports, SahBabii has not seen his grandmother in 15 years. This scene makes their reunion even more poignant. As expected, everyone in the room, even SahBabii, had a huge smile on their face. It’s wholesome content you rarely see in hip-hop.
SahBabii’s family played a huge role in his career
Family is an important part of SahBabii’s life. Those who have been following the rapper know that he takes blood very seriously when it comes to the production and content of his music. In a 2017 interview with The Fader, SahBabii revealed that his brother and father played a crucial role in the production of his mixtape SANDAS, “I was in my brother’s bedroom with a broken microphone. Recorded a whole mixtape,” he told the outlet. “I’d record myself and he’d come in and clean it up.” Sah’s brother and father also provided input and design ideas for the mixtape cover.
The outlet asked SahBabii about his decision to take the microphone, which he again attributed to family members. It was his aforementioned brother T3 who gave him the idea to try music. “I just saw him making music all day long and I just wanted to give it a try,” the rapper recalled. “Everyone in Atlanta was making music, so I just wanted to give it a try and see if I could do it. He definitely encouraged me to make music.” SahBabii’s family’s support has definitely paid off. The rapper is more popular than ever a decade into his career.
