OG Maco, whose real name was Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr., died on December 26, about two weeks after being placed on life support at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
As his day-to-day manager Poppa Perc confirmed to AllHipHop, Maco died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. On Saturday (December 28), OG Maco’s family issued a statement via Instagram to mourn their huge loss.

Emergency crews were called to OG Maco’s home on the morning of Dec. 12 after neighbors heard gunshots.
