Following the success of last weekend’s inaugural four-day Humor and Harmony Weekend Festival in Shreveport, Louisiana, 50 Cent may have found a new home.

Just months after 50 Cent announced the launch of G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, which will be home to his G-Unit Films and Television company, the rapper-turned-tycoon hosted A series of star-studded events.
XXL attended the festivities, which included a comedy show and subsequent party, the XXL Freshman Showcase, a celebrity basketball game, a car show and more. The events were welcomed by the people of the city, who came together to support the G-Unity Foundation’s sole mission of promoting conscious capitalism, an action that spurred economic growth and brought millions of dollars to the city.
Not to mention there were no reports of violence throughout the weekend in very crime-ridden Shreveport, Louisiana, prompting 50 people to share on Instagram that he wanted to host the festival again.

Rappers, comedians, R&B singers and more come together for a weekend of humor and harmony
Last Thursday (August 7), Fif kicked off a show of humor and harmony with the likes of comedians Katt Williams, Andrew Schulz and Michael Blackson The kick-off to the weekend. There was even a surprise appearance from Dave Chappelle, who fronted a set. The next day, August 8, featured the XXL Freshman show, which included Skilla Baby and ScarLip as well as other emerging artists. After the freshman concert, there was a star basketball game, with the QC team playing against the TDE team. Camron provided hilarious play-by-play coverage of the players.
On the field were a variety of celebrities from different fields, including rappers Master P, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and DaBaby, rapper-turned-podcaster Gille Da Kid, NFL legend Terrell Owens and numerous actors from the 50s Powerverse and BMF, Give a few examples.
Last Saturday (August 10), the Humor & Harmony Weekend Festival hosted a car show hosted by DJ Envy of 50 and Power 105. Following the family-friendly daytime event, some of the biggest names in hip-hop such as Moneybagg Yo, 2 Chainz, French Montana, A Boogie and 50 Himself took the stage for the 50 Cent and Friends concert. Several singers, including R&B artists Monica, Muni Long and Jeremih, also performed. It all ended with an all-white party on Sunday (August 11).
There’s also 50 Fit Park, a huge playground that’s accessible all weekend long.
“While this weekend may have been a proof of concept for some, for me it just confirmed everything I already knew,” 50 Cent said of his Humor and Harmony Weekend Festival. “The City of Shreveport has officially earned its place on the national stage as a place open for business, investment and tourism. All roads lead to Shreveport. Thank you to everyone who supports our great cause.”
50 Cent’s extravaganza was a huge success.
