50 Cent has had a change of heart and is reportedly seeking to drop his defamation lawsuit against the mother of his youngest son, Daphne Joy.
According to TMZ, the G-Unit mogul filed a motion asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit without prejudice. A judge has not yet granted his request.
Back in April, 50 Cent filed for sole custody of his son with Joy after Lil Rod identified Joy as one of Diddy’s sex workers in a lawsuit against the owner of Bad Boy Records. Joy denied the allegations in the lawsuit and then accused 50 Cent of rape and sexual assault.
“I’m tired of maintaining and protecting our son’s image that you never even earned,” she wrote. “Let us really focus on the true evil of your rape and physical abuse of me. You are no longer my oppressor… You broke our hearts one last time.
Fiddy has denied the accusations, claiming Joey made them in retaliation for claiming custody of his son’s father, and filed a defamation lawsuit.
“The recent false and baseless accusations made by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son,” he said. “My son His Majesty is my top priority and keeping him in a safe environment China is my only focus right now.”
However, in July, Daphne Joy deleted a post in which she accused 50 Cent of assaulting her. TMZ reports that Joey is trying to reconcile with her ex-boyfriend for the sake of their son.
