In conjunction with the opening of G-Unit Film Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, Fif will host the Humor and Harmony Festival in the same city from August 8th to 11th.

In related news, 50 Cent and his team unveiled a “three-phase” plan over the weekend that involves artists and moguls investing directly in people and communities. In fact, he’s already started the first part of the process that will allow him to revitalize some properties in downtown Shreveport.
Real estate agent Gerod Durden, who is helping G-Unit execute the revitalization process, revealed that the “In Da Club” hitmaker plans to buy and renovate about two dozen commercial properties.
“He was very passionate about this city,” Duden said. “I would say we’ve closed on 10 or more properties this week. There will be an additional 10 or so. These are all-cash offers. You know, there’s a lot of entertainment out there, not just for adults and kids.
“He brought a big jump park here. I mean, it’s a pretty big park. We’re looking at grocery stores near downtown Shreveport and those are the ideas we came up with with the whole team . What help can it bring to society?
Following the business revival, the team will help ease home ownership difficulties by providing more housing and easier access to financing.
“We started building homes, and we had an idea to grow in the community and help low- and moderate-income families get mortgages,” explains Orville Hall, growth consultant at G-Unit Film Studios. “The third phase will be going into the children; we will go to every high school and provide media programs to the children to start training and mentoring purposes. All of this is to give the young people a positive environment.
The relationship between 50 Cent and Shreveport brass has been positive since the G-Unit owner struck a deal last November to bring his growing movie empire to the northwest Louisiana city.
The deal was finalized shortly after city councilors introduced legislation that would allow the hip-hop mogul to lease Millennium Film Studios as a home base for his entertainment company, G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, LLC.
