Today (January 29), 50 Cent broke his pattern of remaining relatively silent about Lloyd Banks. The G-Unit founder caught fans off guard when he took aim at Banks and Fabolous in a since-deleted post on Twitter.
“Fab vs. Banks,” 50 wrote on
50 Cent posted and deleted mockery of Fabolous and Lloyd Banks while responding to The Breakfast Club debate with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda:
“Fab vs. Banks 👀 They both write better when it comes to girls and they both think they are better than everyone else. They both never put in any effort… pic.twitter.com/SgszGQ9zFl

This post comes after Tony Yayo and Uncle Muda argued on The Breakfast Club about who was better, The Myth or Banks. 50’s comments marked a shift from his usual approach to discussing his former G-Unit partner.
50 has been targeting Young Buck in interviews and social posts. The Tennessee rapper was fired from G-Unit in 2008 over management and financial differences.
“The Game” faced similar treatment in 2005 after “50” booted him from the organization. Their argument turned violent when a shooting occurred outside a New York radio station. 50 kept this energy going for nearly two decades.
Lloyd Banks, 50, has stayed away from his public fights for years, until now. In a 2022 GQ interview, Banks said that despite the career change, their relationship remains strong.
“It’s all the same. We’re brothers,” he explained. “We’ve been through it all together and at this point in our careers we would never do the same thing at the same time.”
The timing of 50’s comments is not random.
Fabolous released the freestyle “Squatter’s Rights” in December with Jim Jones, Maino and Dave East. The song’s rating directly surpassed previous reviews from the Let’s Rap About It podcast team.
Many hip-hop fans expected there would be no response to the “Fabolous” diss. 50 has recently been focusing on his TV empire and business career. His response proved those predictions wrong.
Patterns with former colleagues in the 1950s followed a familiar script. He built these relationships and then publicly tore them down when they soured. Young Buck, the game and now possibly Banks have all been through this cycle.
The deleted post sparked immediate reactions on social media. Fans debated whether 50 crossed a line by including Banks and The Myth.
Others saw it as a belated honesty to both rappers’ recent performances.
Banks has yet to respond publicly to 50’s comments. His last major project, Six Swords of HHVI, was released in October 2025 and received positive reviews from long-time fans.
