50 cents bring his business hustle and Hollywood vision to Shreveport, who boldly expands his G-Unity startup program.
On Monday (June 1), the rapper turned into a debris, confirming the move on Instagram.

The G-Unity Foundation’s commercial lab, launched in Houston in 2021, is now heading to northwest Louisiana.
The one-year course teaches high school students who build their business, develop leadership skills and pursue long-term financial stability in underserved areas.
The course relies on 50 Cent books, working harder and smarter, including local business leaders, hands-on lab guidance and a focus on conscious capitalism.

The expansion of the program is part of a larger three-phase program announced in September 2024 as part of Shreveport’s announcement. Together with the commercial lab, the program includes affordable housing and economic development plans.
The move comes after 50 cents locked in a 30-year lease on the 985,000-square-foot property in Shreveport. The site will house G-Unit Studios, and the studio will also offer work training and youth programs in film, television and art.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s G-New York Commercial Laboratory has made an impact in Houston. It operates at six high schools (Kashmere, Wheatley, Worthing, North Forest, Booker T. Washington and Yates) and has conducted 28 weeks of after-school classes twice a week.
Students come up with business ideas, get coaches and compete for seed funding. In 2025, the Worthing High School team received $100,000 in the annual Hustle Tank event.
The Shreveport launch is expected to follow a similar model, focusing on community collaboration between educators, parents and local service providers.
