21 Savage urges Drake not to feud with Kendrick Lamar.
On Thursday night (December 11), the Perspektives With Bank podcast preceded the release of the Slaughter Gang rapper’s new album What’s Happening in the Streets? ” previously aired a new interview with him. During the sit-down, 21 addressed the issue of Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Atlanta Rhymes revealed that he warned Drake not to get involved in the lyrical feud.
“I told that woman not to do that shit no matter what,” 21 said. “I told the guy to leave it alone. But he felt like he was being challenged lyrically, so he wanted to respond.”
Number 21 said he told Drake not to get involved because he felt it was a win-win situation.
“No matter what, bro. In some cases, even if you win, you still don’t win,” 21 said. “When you’re at the top and you’re No. 1, where does winning leave you? You can’t be No. 1. So, how the hell can you win? That’s what I told him.”
21 Savage unfortunately got caught up in the feud between Aubrey and Metro Boomin because he was friends with Drake, and 21 and Metro Boomin were also good friends. Both of them appear on 21’s new album. Drake appears on the song “Mr. Recoup,” while Metro appears on “Gang Over Everything.”
