Roots Picnic is back, and hip-hop legends and Philly soul music icons will be headlining this year’s festival!
The legendary Roots team will perform with Lil Wayne, Jill Scott and more on June 1 and June 2 at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Fairmount Park.

Where is the Roots Picnic held?
The Roots Picnic returns to the Mann Hotel in Fairmount Park.
The Mann Hotel is located at 5201 Parkside Drive in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.
When is the Roots Picnic?
The two-day festival will be held on June 1, 2024 and June 2, 2024.
Who are the headliners at Roots Picnic 2024?
This year’s headliners are multi-Grammy Award-winning hip-hop star Lil Wayne and soul singer Jill Scott.
The Roots will perform with Lil Wayne, highlighting the musical legacy of the rap star’s hometown of New Orleans. The show will also feature special guests PJ Morton and Trombone Shorty.
Philadelphia native and Grammy Award-winning soul singer Jill Scott will also headline. Her performance will follow her 20th anniversary tour to commemorate her 2000 debut album “Who Is Jill Scott?”
Who else will be performing at the Roots Picnic?
The show will also feature hip-hop icons André 3000, Nas, Method Man and Redman, legendary R&B producer and singer Babyface, singer and actress Fantasia Barrino and hip-hop star Gunna.

Which roads will be closed?
To accommodate venue construction and the two-day festival, city officials said progressive lane restrictions and road closures in the West Fairmount Park area and around the Overbrook neighborhood will begin on Monday, May 20.
The following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, May 20, to approximately 6 a.m. Thursday, June 6:
State Avenue between Belmont Avenue and Republic Avenue
The following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, to approximately 6 a.m. Friday, June 7:
South Concourse Drive, between Belmont Avenue and 52nd Street
The following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. Thursday, May 30, to approximately 6 a.m. Friday, June 7:
Republic Avenue, between Belmont Avenue and 52nd Street
The following streets will be closed from noon on Friday, May 31, until approximately 8am on Friday, June 7:
